Business Management Consultant (with Improvement Teams based on Japanese Business Management Science)
Over the past 30 years, Kola has consulted and trained internationally across a wide range of industries, specialising in Japanese Business Management Science, which propelled Japan to global leadership since the 1960s. He provides business management guidance to Boards and Senior Executives, focusing on continuous improvement through Total Employee Involvement.
His approach centres on creating a framework that aligns management and employees, enhancing operational efficiency. A key part of this involves developing Self-Managing Improvement Teams (also known as Quality Circles) that play a crucial role in participative management. Kola consults on their creation, training, and management within corporate environments and has served as a judge at international Quality Circle competitions in Europe, the Far East, and South East Asia. Additionally, he has a deep understanding of Hoshin Kanri (a strategic management methodology for Policy Deployment and Daily Management) and its role in aligning employees with management for operational efficiency.
Kola works alongside David Hutchins, an internationally recognised Quality Management expert, and collaborate with the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE) to advance company-wide operational and business process efficiency. He is also a co-founder of the Global Excellence Team (GET), which promotes Japanese Business Management Science across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Gulf, and North America, supporting organisations of all sizes and industries.
Originally qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), Kola transitioned into change management and has consulted and trained internationally for nearly three decades. His experience spans multiple sectors, including Banking, Insurance, Pensions, Healthcare, Oil & Gas, Power, and Government Agencies, to name some of these.
A conference and keynote speaker at international corporate events, Kola engages executives, managers, employees, entrepreneurs, and business owners with thought-provoking insights. Having run his own radio programme for a few seasons, re remains a guest on radio and television programmes, sharing expertise on business improvement and operational excellence.
